If 2025 taught us anything, it's that leadership without a clear plan feels like navigating a wild trail blindfolded. You're reacting to every twist, sudden drop, surprise turn and by year's end, you're exhausted and wondering what you actually achieved.
Sound familiar?
2026 won't be any easier. Continued trade uncertainties, AI disruption, shifting global markets…they're all still here. The leaders who thrive won't be the ones with the longest to-do lists. They'll be the ones with the clearest focus and best strategies.
The tool I’m sharing with you is the same one my clients and I have used for years to cut through the noise and focus on what truly matters:
The One-Page Plan.
“Chris’s One-Page Plan takes the pain out of developing a clear and concise strategic plan with focused goals for the year ahead” – David S.

Why Most Plans Fail (and This One Doesn't)
Most strategic plans fail for three reasons:
- They're too long –complex 20-page documents that get buried in a drawer or collecting dust on the shelf
- They're too vague – Fuzzy goals like "grow the business" without clear direction
- They're too disconnected – Written in January, forgotten by February
This One-Page Plan is different. It's simple, strategic, and useful.
This isn't another overwhelming document you'll ignore. It's a living tool you'll fill in, print, pin up where you see it daily, and use to filter every decision you make in 2026.
"A goal is not always meant to be reached; it often serves simply as something to aim at." – Bruce Lee
What Makes the One-Page Plan Work
The genius is in its simplicity. You focus on just a few core elements:
Your "Why" – Your North Star
Before you chase any goal, get clear on why it matters. Your purpose is your compass. It helps you prioritize, make confident decisions. Define your values it’ll keep your team aligned when the path gets difficult.
When I took my first company from $1 million to $15 million in five years, we didn't just focus on revenue targets. We knew exactly why each goal mattered for the bigger picture. That clarity kept us moving forward even when markets shifted, deals fell through, and unexpected challenges popped up.

Your Top Goals – Three Areas That Matter Most
Where most people go wrong: they try to do too many things. The One-Page Plan forces you to focus on the critical few, not the trivial many.
You'll choose three meaningful goals in each of these areas:
1. Personal
What do you want to achieve for yourself? This could be learning, family time, relationships, experiences, the things that make you a better leader and a more fulfilled leader.
2. Health & Wellness
Your best thinking comes from a healthy mind and body. This isn't optional, it's a competitive advantage. Leaders who prioritize well-being perform better and set the tone for their teams to excel.
3. Business
What will move the needle most in your business this year? Not twenty strategic initiatives. Three core goals that align with your vision, purpose, values and create real impact to achieving your business success.
“I love how Chris developed such a holistic approach to goal setting, combining together the most important areas of my life” – Jennifer H

How to Use Your One-Page Plan
Follow these simple steps:
Step 1: Fill It Out Intentionally
Block off 15 to 20 minutes of uninterrupted time. Get comfortable and think deeply about what matters most, not what's urgent, but what's most important.
Step 2: Make It Visible
Complete it. Print it. Pin it on your wall, your desk, screen saver, or wherever you'll see it every single day. Out of sight means out of mind.
Step 3: Review It Weekly
Every week, look at your plan. Ask yourself:
- Am I making progress on what matters?
- Are my daily actions aligned with vision, purpose and goals?
- What needs to be adjusted?
Step 4: Adapt as Needed
Your plan isn't set in stone. As circumstances change, your goals might require adjustment due to a new reality. Your; vision, purpose and values will keep you anchored and focused.
Why This Year Needs a Plan That Actually Works
Goals aren't just something you set and forget. They're the roadmap that gives direction to your energy, focus to your actions, and confidence to your decisions.
Without clarity, your year will likely get pulled in a dozen different directions. You end up chasing the urgent instead of the important. You stay busy but don't achieve your desired results.
The One-Page Plan helps you cut through the noise so you can take meaningful action on what truly matters.
I've stuck with this tool year after year because it works not by overwhelming you with to-dos, but by distilling your year into what truly counts.
Your 2026 Starts Here
2026 will bring challenges. That's guaranteed. With the right plan, you'll navigate those challenges with confidence, clarity, and purpose instead of just reacting to whatever comes your way.
A great year doesn't happen by accident; it happens by design.
Your One-Page Plan gives you the structure to turn intention into impact, clarity into action, and goals into results.

Fill it out. Print it. Pin it up. Or make it your new screen saver, then Use it.
“Every year I tape a copy of my One-Page Plan up on the wall in my home office above my laptop. It keeps me focused on what’s important” – Wendy L
